Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra Legislative Council (DPRD) (Sumsel) Hj. RA Anita Noeringhati held an Open House on Raya Idul Fitri 1444 H, Saturday (22/4) at her official residence on Jalan Demang Lebar Daun adjacent to Griya Agung Palembang.
Present included the South Sumatran Police Chief Inspector General Pol A.Rachmad Wibowo SIK., Commander of Regional Military Command (Pangdam) II/Sriwijaya Major General TNI Hilman Hadi, S.I.P., M.B.A., M.Han and staff, Deputy Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD Kartika Sandra Desi and Muchendi Mahzareki and ranks, figures community, religious leaders to the general public.
According to Anita, this year’s Eid, as a woman, also feels grateful because it coincides with Kartini’s day on April 21, where Kartini’s day, which is always commemorated, motivates women to move forward even further.
“Kartini’s day is also Eid day, I as Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD wish all people who celebrate Eid Al-Fitr a happy Eid Al-Fitr, Minal Aidzin Wal Faidzin apologize physically and mentally, hopefully we will pray that next year we can meet Ramadhan again, we can meet with hospitality, because it turns out that hospitality is an extraordinary extension of kinship,” she said.
The Golkar Party politician hopes that the people of South Sumatra are grateful for being able to live side by side, being able to celebrate together even though on April 21 some people celebrate Eid al-Fitr first and on April 22 Muslims also celebrate Eid but we all respect one another.
“This is what is meant in Islamic teachings, we may be different but still respect each other, so I, as Chairperson of the DPRD of South Sumatra, thank all the people who have maintained conducivity in celebrating Eid al-Fitr in 2023,” she said. (ojn/bbs)
