Preventing Corruption, KPK-RI Holds Coordination Meeting and Disseminates MCP

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting (Acting) Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni opened the Coordination Meeting for the Region II Corruption Eradication Program, Dissemination of Monitoring Control for Prevention (MCP) in 2024 and Follow-up to Recommendations on the Results of the Indonesian Assessment Survey (SPI) in 2023.

In its efforts to develop a corruption prevention system, Indonesia Corruption Eradicated Commission (KPK-RI) builds it through strategic sectors which are recommendations from the 2023 SPI results with eight indicators. South Sumatra as the host for the 2024 regional government corruption eradication coordination meeting in Griya Agung (23/04/2024) has also made efforts to prevent corruption starting from structuring policies and regulations to saving state finances/assets.

“As a form of South Sumatra’s commitment to efforts to prevent corruption, including the launch of an Integrity Zone towards a Corruption Free Area (WBK), a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM), Monitoring Control For Prevention (MCP), as an integrated corruption prevention system, as well as programs- other programs.” Said the Acting Governor of South Sumatra, A. Thanks to the government’s hard work in preventing corruption, at this event one of the districts in South Sumatra, namely South Oku Regency, received the 2022-2023 Delta MCP Award for preventing regional corruption carried out together with the Corruption Eradication Commission and BPKP.

The Acting Governor of South Sumatra also expressed his hope and invitation that holding this coordination meeting could become a strategic forum to immediately identify and take strategic steps in order to accelerate the improvement of MCP performance and follow up on the 2023 SPI.

“Follow the rules, take action, and complete the documents. That alone will help us prevent corruption. ” Said the Acting Governor of South Sumatra in closing his remarks.

Deputy for Coordination and Supervision of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Committee, Inspector General of Education and Culture, Agung Widjanarko, explained that in an effort to prevent corruption in regional governments, the Corruption Eradication Commission is currently strengthening the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) in 2024 by sharpening MCP indicators and sub-indicators, deepening priority areas, especially procurement of goods. & Services and Licensing, Strengthening APIP, Optimizing APIP – APH Synergy, Monitoring in the Field.

“We hope that we can collaborate and coordinate with each regional government to overcome these challenges,” he said in his speech.
