Denpasar, The Indonesia Post – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir ensured that State Electricity Company (PLN’s) electricity supply was safe during the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali on November 15-16.
Erick Tohir, as quoted from a written statement received in Denpasar, Bali, Thursday, stated that all SOEs involved in the G20 Summit gave their respective roles to the fullest.
“I also ordered PLN, Angkasa Pura I, Telkom, and InJourney to ensure the best service, starting from the airport, internet network connectivity, hotels, and the reliability of electricity supply,” said Erick, checking directly the condition of the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU). at Central Park ITDC Nusa Dua Bali.
SOE Minister Erick Tohir stated that all SOEs involved were ready to make the G20 Summit in Bali successful on November 15-16.
“We together with the President have checked a number of venues that will be the location of the G20 Summit. God willing, all are ready to entertain guests from other countries,” he said.
Meanwhile, PLN’s Generation Management Director, Adi Lumakso, stated that PLN’s preparations for the G20 Summit have now been completed 100 percent, including the SPKLU infrastructure which is prepared to serve hundreds of electric vehicles during the G20 Summit.
“PLN has prepared 66 SPKLU to serve 636 cars. Spread over several locations, including ITDC 1 and 2 as well as in Apurva Kempinski. In addition, there are 200 home chargers to serve the battery charging for 290 motorcycles,” he said.
He explained that to ensure the suitability of the inlet (charging port) of each vehicle on the SPKLU, with a nozzle or connector, PLN together with other partners provide several types of SPKLU Ultra Fast Charging which will be served directly by PLN officers.
“Especially for electric vehicle battery recharging services, PLN has 128 personnel on standby 24 hours at the location while still coordinating with Paspampres,” said Adi.
The existing SPKLU, Adi said, is equipped with supporting applications, namely Charge.In and a dashboard application that can monitor the entire performance of each SPKLU.
“This application is an internal development developed by PLN in Bali to make it easier for personnel to supervise the availability of SPKLU,” he said. (mhn/bbs)
