OKU TIMUR, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) H. Herman Deru attended the NU Muslimat grand recitation in Tanjung Mulya Village, Buay Madang Timur District, East OKU Regency, Wednesday (21/10).
During his visit this time the governor was pleased to inaugurate the PAUD and TK Al-Faqih buildings in the village of Tanjung Mulya.
The governor in his speech to thousands of Muslim masses of East OKU NU this time emphasized that the quarterly recitation that is held is a form of Islamic syiar. “The recitation program like this is good and must be continued. Because there are many positive values that we get, one of which is maintaining good relations,” said Governor Herman Deru.
He further appreciated the Tanjung Mulya village government for building Al-Faqih PAUD as well as TK Pertiwi. Because of that he asked that the building that had been inaugurated could be used for children’s education as well as a tahfidz house.
“Take advantage of this building to be useful. Find a teacher who can teach our children in this place. Do not let this building be neglected, it will be our sin if it is not used properly because this building was built using public money” he said.
Meanwhile, while attending the commemoration of the Islamic birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW at the Jami ‘Baitul Muttaqin Mosque, Kurungan Nyawa Village, Buay Madang District, OKU Timur, Governor Herman Deru also
was greeted enthusiastically by thousands of congregants who packed the Jami ‘Baitul Muttaqin Mosque.
