OKU, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru made another work visit to the Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) district, Sunday (6/9). This visit was to see directly the start of the improvement of Jalan Ogan Ilir – Lubuk Batang, District of Peninamatan, which is located in the Hall of the Sub-District Office of the Observation Office of OKU Regency.

The presence of Governor Herman Deru in OKU Regency also answers the wishes of the people which have not been answered, one of which is road infrastructure improvement.

“I deliberately came here to launch infrastructure improvements. So far, we have answered the wishes of the people one by one before 2 years as the governor of South Sumatra. I focus on infrastructure to answer the complaints of the public that so far need attention,” he said.

According to him, the improvement in road infrastructure is expected to facilitate economic mobility and daily access for the community. He admits that the road infrastructure development is not only in OKU but evenly distributed throughout all districts / cities in South Sumatra.

“Why do people need infrastructure in addition to people needing because people have four-wheeled vehicles and two things are also to be efficient in transportation costs and economic exchange. This is our goal. This infrastructure development is evenly distributed, yesterday in Mura and PALI Regencies this time OKU Regency. South Sumatra Governor Herman Deru assured that, Infrastructure development in South Sumatra, which is the responsibility of the province, will be completed in its 2nd year of leadership with Deputy Governor Mawardi Yahya.

“If yesterday the first year was 75 percent more, now it is almost 100 percent plus there are sections. Later, Musi Banyuasin to Lakit (Mura) will also improve it together with the road hall,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of OKU Regency, Johan Anuar, at the same time representing all levels of OKU Regency society, thanked the Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru for paying attention to the roads in OKU.

“Of course I at the same time represent all the people of OKU district to thank the governor in the form of road assistance. This is not the only infrastructure assistance provided, even with this assistance there are a lot of smooth roads in OKU District,” he concluded.

At the same place, the Head of the Public Works Office of Bina Marga and Spatial Planning of the Province of South Sumatra, Darma Budhi reported that the allocation of road infrastructure handling for the South Sumatra Province APBD through the Public Works Office of Bina Marga and Spatial Planning of the Province of South Sumatra for the OKU Regency area consists of 8 packages of road and bridge handling activities located in OKU Regency, namely Improvement of Batss Road, Ogan Ilir Regency – Lubuk Batang, amounting to Rp.4,914,150,000, Improvement of Jalan Baturaja – Sp. Martapura, amounting to Rp.10,140,835,000.

The increase and transportation to Oprit Ogan IV Bridge – Unit 3 Batumarta amounting to Rp7,914,150,000, Improvement of Jalan Batumarta (Unit III – Unit XVI) Lubuk Raja, OKU Regency amounting to Rp.4,914,150,000, Increasing Jalan Gatot Subroto (Baturaja) of Rp. 140,835,000, Construction of Ogan IV Bridge Oprit of IDR 9,914,150,000, – Construction of a Pipe Bridge in Nagari Ratu Tanjung Lengkayap Village of IDR 3,984,150,000, Periodic Maintenance of Jalan Sutomo Batukuning Baturaja of IDR 2,440,835,000, Total budget for road infrastructure improvements and bridges in OKU Regency amounting to Rp.47,363,255,000.

At this time, said Budi, improvements were also made on the Batu Martha road (Unit IIT – Unit XVI) Lubuk Raja Kab. OKU with the Governor of South Sumatra’s special assistance fund for OKU Regency through the TA grant, 2020 amounting to IDR 34,500,000,000, has also been allocated for handling infrastructure in OKU Regency in 8 location points.

“The total budget of the South Sumatra Provincial Government for repairing road and bridge infrastructure in OKU Regency is Rp. 81,863,255,000,” he said. (imf/ril)
