South Sumatra Acting Governor Encourages Acceleration of Construction of the Betung-Bayung Lencir Toll Road

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting (Acting) Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Agus Fatoni supports the acceleration of construction of the Betung-Bayung Lencir Toll Road which is part of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS). This was expressed by Fatoni when receiving an audience from Acting Regent Musi Banyuasin (MUBA) Apriyadi at Griya Agung, Palembang, South Sumatra.

On this occasion, Apriyadi conveyed the progress of the toll road construction across MUBA Regency for 132 kilometers. Currently, the physical progress of the construction of the Bayung Lencir-Tempino Toll Road has reached 60-70 percent.

However, until now the development of the new Betung-Bayung Lencir Toll Road is still stalled, one of which is because the land release process has not yet reached 100 percent. Then, Apriyadi also conveyed that the letter from the Ministry of Public Works regarding the request for Location Determination (Penlok) to the South Sumatra Provincial Government, namely through the Governor of South Sumatra, will end on April 6.

“We have conveyed the administrative letter to the Provincial Government verbally now to the Governor. “We asked the Governor for directions regarding this toll road,” said Apriyadi.

Responding to this, the Acting Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Agus Fatoni supported the acceleration of the construction process of the Betung-Bayung Lencir Toll Road. He asked to immediately write to the relevant officials so that construction could continue immediately.

“In the letter it may be necessary to mention the April deadline. If it is not decided, it will have to be repeated. “If there is no immediate extension, it needs to be re-processed,” said Fatoni.

Fatoni also requested that a copy of the letter be immediately made to the Minister of Environment and Forestry, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR) as well as the Head of the National Land Agency (BPN), the Head of the Presidential Secretariat (KSP) and the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) for an audience to discuss the development process the toll road.

“We are also preparing an audience with the Minister, at least the Director General. Just write a letter to the Minister regarding the construction of the toll road which is still not underway. “This has to be serious, if possible this week or next week we will immediately have a hearing,” explained Fatoni.

On this occasion, he was also present to accompany the Acting Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Agus Fatoni, namely the Assistant for Government and Welfare. (ojn/ril)
