Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Elen Setiadi received the Head of the Clean Sweep Task Force for Illegal Levies (Saber Pungli) of the South Sumatra Province Extortion Eradication Unit (UPP) and its management in the context of a Gathering in the South Sumatra Governor’s Guest Room, Wednesday, (16/10/2024).
Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Elen Setiadi said that the South Sumatra Provincial Government is committed to supporting various activities that have not been optimally carried out by the Saber Pungli Team to be more effective through the support of the secretariat, facilities and infrastructure, and operations as well as possible.
“Today we met with the Saber Pungli team that has been formed for a long time and we discussed various activities that have not been optimal. We consider the Saber Pungli team to be very helpful in public services,” he said.
The target of the Saber Pungli team’s activities is better public service without extortion through various better public service activities. “We will also provide complaint services, the secretariat is being prepared. Complaint services will also be provided to respond more quickly to public complaints in the future, “he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Saber Pungli Eradication Unit, Senior Commissioner of Police Feri Handoko Soenarso, S.H., S.I.K., said that his party is committed to making maximum efforts to prevent, enforce the law, and try to minimize extortion that often occurs in the community. This is also an effort to improve public services.
“Alhamdulillah, we have received support from the Governor. We have prepared the follow-up to be scheduled, hopefully there will be an increase in the following year. The target is to double next year through prevention and socialization efforts that have been implemented, “he explained.
Feri emphasized that the Saber Pungli Team continues to prioritize enforcement efforts in order to provide a deterrent effect through law enforcement efforts. The thematic Saber Pungli Team program depends on public reports
