South Sumatra Legislative Council Chairperson and Governor Agree on KUA and PPAS for South Sumatra Provincial Budget for FY 2025

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The South Sumatra (Sumsel) Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) held the 86th Plenary Meeting with the agenda of signing a memorandum of understanding between the South Sumatra Provincial Government and the South Sumatra DPRD regarding the General Policy of the Regional Budget (KUA) and the Priority and Temporary Budget Ceiling (PPAS) of the South Sumatra Provincial Budget for the 2025 fiscal year, Thursday (15/8/2024).

The Plenary Meeting was led by the Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD, Hj RA Anita Noeringhati, accompanied by the ranks of the Deputy Chairpersons of the South Sumatra DPRD, HM Giri Ramanda N Kiemas, Kartika Sandra Desi and Muchendi Mahzareki. The plenary meeting was attended directly by the Acting Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi with a number of Forkompinda and invitees and members of the South Sumatra DPRD.

Anita explained that the discussion of the KUA and PPAS of the South Sumatra Provincial Budget for the 2025 fiscal year was carried out by the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the South Sumatra DPRD with the South Sumatra Provincial Government Budget Team (TAPD) and the South Sumatra Provincial Inspectorate as the government’s internal supervisory apparatus from 15 to 17 July 2024.

Then a meeting of the Commissions with the South Sumatra Provincial OPD working partners was held to obtain input on the programs and activities in the draft KUA and PPAS of the South Sumatra Provincial Budget for the 2025 fiscal year from 22 to 26 July 2024.

“Furthermore, a follow-up meeting of the South Sumatra DPRD Budget Agency and the South Sumatra Provincial Government Budget Team (TAPD) together with the leaders of the Commissions and the South Sumatra Provincial Inspectorate as the government’s internal supervisory apparatus discussed the report, synchronization of the draft KUA and PPAS of the South Sumatra Provincial Budget for the 2025 fiscal year on 29 July to 1 August 2024 and continued on 13 August 2024,” he explained.

From the results of the discussion of the general policy of the APBD KUA and PPAS APBD of South Sumatra Province for the 2025 budget year between Banggar DPRD South Sumatra and TAPD South Sumatra, Anita revealed, the draft of the South Sumatra Provincial APBD for the 2025 budget year was agreed at Rp10,349,496,422,262, decreasing by Rp886,630,252,111 compared to the 2024 APBD of Rp11,236,099,674,373.

“With the details of regional income for the 2025 budget year of Rp10,060,185,345,574. decreasing by Rp886,603,252,111 or 8.10 percent compared to the 2024 APBD of Rp10,946,788,597,685. Regional spending in the 2025 budget year of Rp10,349,496,422,262 decreased by Rp751,603,252,111 or 6.77 percent, when compared to regional spending in the 2024 budget year of Rp11,101,099,674,373,” he said.

Regional financing
1. Financing receipts, in the draft of the South Sumatra provincial APBD for the 2025 budget year, financing receipts are planned at IDR 289,311,076,688, with no changes in the 2024 budget year.
2. Financing expenditures, in the draft of the South Sumatra provincial APBD for the 2025 budget year, financing expenditures are not budgeted, while in the 2024 budget year, it is IDR 135,000,000,000

The event was then continued with the agenda of signing a memorandum of understanding between the South Sumatra Provincial Government and the South Sumatra DPRD regarding the General Policy of the APBD (KUA) and the Priorities and Temporary Budget Ceiling (PPAS) of the South Sumatra Provincial APBD for the 2025 budget year by the Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD Hj RA Anita Noeringhati together with the Deputy Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD HM Giri Ramanda N Kiemas, Kartika Sandra Desi and Muchendi Mahzareki and the Acting Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi.

In his remarks, Acting Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi expressed his gratitude for the partnership that has been running well between the executive and legislative branches.
