Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), Dr. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., Attended the Inauguration and Taking of the Oath of Office of the High-Ranking Official of the Regional Secretary of South Sumatra Province, Drs. H. Edward Chandra, MH., by the Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Mr. Elen Setiadi, SH., MSE., at Griya Agung, Palembang, Wednesday, (14/8/2024).

On that occasion, Acting Governor Elen Setiadi emphasized that with the inauguration of the Regional Secretary today, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) as the highest executive leader in carrying out the strategic role of regional government, with functional duties (tupoksi) as a communicator, coordinator, dynamic, and facilitator in bridging and assisting the head.
“Alhamdulillah, it has been inaugurated, thus the South Sumatra Province since the Regional Secretary retired has been filled definitively so that there are no more administrative obstacles in the South Sumatra Province,” he said.
Furthermore, Elen hopes that after being inaugurated as definitive, Edward Candra can work optimally in carrying out the big agenda in the future to be even better.
“Today, Mr. Edward will work mainly to welcome August 17 and many series of events, including completing changes to the 2025 APBD and RAPBD, God willing, we will complete this tomorrow,” he said.
Therefore, Elen hopes that the South Sumatra Regional Secretary can work optimally and as well as possible.
“Thus, we hope that the definitive official will be able to work faster, more effectively and efficiently,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, South Sumatra Regional Secretary Edward Candra emphasized his commitment to work as well as possible.
“I will work as well as possible to provide the best service to the community including how South Sumatra will progress in the future,” he concluded.
Also present were the Head of BPSDM of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Sugang Hariyono, the Expert Team of the Vice President Farhat Brachma, the Acting Chairperson of the South Sumatra PKK TP, Melza Elen Setiadi, the South Sumatra Forkopimda, the Heads of the South Sumatra OPDs.
