Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), Dr Hj RA Anita NoeringHati SH MH attended the Open Base of Indonesian Air Force aircraft held at Sri Mulyono Herlambang Air Base in Palembang, Jalan LE. Siagian Sukodadi, Sukarami District, Saturday (8/6/2024).
This Open Base consists of 1 C-130 Hercules aircraft, 3 CN aircraft, 5 F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, 5 Hawk 109/209 aircraft, 1 Caracal H 225 M helicopter and 1 Super Puma H-3213 helicopter.
SMH Palembang Air Base Commander Colonel Pnb Rizaldy Efranza, ST, M.N.S.S said, today his party received the arrival of 10 fighter planes to carry out the 1st air operations command exercise which will be held at SMH Palembang Air Base as a fighter aircraft advance base.
“So far, we carried it out last year and it was also held in Palembang this year and it will be big again. “Today alone there are 6 types of Indonesian Air Force aircraft operating today at SMH Palembang Air Base,” he said.
Furthermore, this activity will be held on Wednesday. On Wednesday there will be a force down exercise where we are forced to bring down an unauthorized foreign aircraft using a fighter plane and an investigation will be carried out at SMH Air Base in Palembang.
“I really hope that this event can be utilized as optimally as possible, including for the younger generation, so that it becomes a source of pride and strengthens the sense of nationalism, coupled with the synergy shown by Forkopimda from South Sumatra,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chair of the South Sumatra DPRD Anita Noeringhati said that this was an appreciation from the South Sumatra Provincial Government. The SMH airfield is used as a training ground for fighter aircraft.
“We would like to thank the base commander who was extraordinary in bringing this training to SMH Air Base. The enthusiasm of the people watching this is an event they rarely see and has become a tourism destination in itself. “Of course these events will always be held in South Sumatra like other events,” he concluded.
The event was also enlivened by a photography competition from the South Sumatra Association of Indonesian Professional Photographers (APFI).
Also present at the event was the Chairman of the South Sumatra provincial DPRD Hj. R. A Anita Noeringhati, SH, MH, Danlanal Palembang Marine Colonel (P) Sandy Kurniawan, Aspidmil Colonel Chk Askari SH, MH, Kabagops Binda Colonel Kav Dosi Syamsurizal, Acting. Mayor of Lubuklinggau H.
