Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, Mrs. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., chaired an important meeting with the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) for South Sumatra Province. The meeting which took place in the Budget Board Meeting Room (Banggar) DPRD South Sumatra Province on Monday (10/07/2023) discussed the Draft General Budget Policy (KUA) and Priorities and Temporary Budget Ceilings (PPAS) APBD South Sumatra Province for the 2024 Fiscal Year .
The meeting chaired directly by the Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD, Ms. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., attended by TAPD members and a number of related officials. The main objective of this meeting is to discuss and formulate appropriate policies and budget allocations for the development of South Sumatra Province in the coming year.
In her remarks, Mrs. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., underlined the importance of using an effective and efficient budget to support regional development. He emphasized that the provincial government must ensure that development priorities that are the needs of the community can be properly accommodated through appropriate budget allocations.

“We are committed to presenting equitable and quality development for the people of South Sumatra. Therefore, in this meeting, we need to formulate policies and budget allocations that focus on top priorities and take into account the aspirations and needs of the people,” said RA Anita.
The draft KUA and PPAS APBD of South Sumatra Province for the 2024 Fiscal Year will serve as a reference in determining development policies and budget allocations in various sectors. This meeting is also an event for TAPD members to provide input and recommendations to improve the draft.
In addition, TAPD also discussed steps to optimize the use of resources and increase budget efficiency in order to support the achievement of development targets in South Sumatra Province. During the meeting, priority programs were also presented that would receive special attention in budget allocations, such as the education, health, infrastructure and economic sectors.
The meeting, which took place in a conducive atmosphere, is expected to produce wise decisions that are in favor of the interests of the people of South Sumatra. After this meeting, TAPD will continue the process of drafting the final Draft KUA and PPAS APBD of South Sumatra Province for Fiscal Year 2024, which will then be submitted for approval by the DPRD of South Sumatra Province.
