Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD Dr Hj. Anita Noeringhati SH MH paid a working visit to the Food Security, Food Crops and Horticulture Service of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency (OKI), Friday (8/03/2024).
The visit aims to monitor the availability and prices of basic commodities ahead of the month of Ramadan 1445 Hijriyah.
The Head of Service, Ir. Sahrul M.Si and his staff received the visit in the room of the Head of the Food Security and Horticulture Service.
In this meeting Dr. Hj RA. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH emphasized the importance of maintaining the availability and stability of prices of basic commodities, especially ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
“We need to ensure that people have adequate access to basic commodities at affordable prices, especially in the midst of this pandemic,” said the Chair of the South Sumatra DPRD.
In the same place, Ir. Sahrul MSI said that his party had made various efforts to maintain the supply and control prices of basic commodities in the OKI Regency area.
“We continue to coordinate with business actors and related parties to ensure that stocks of basic commodities are sufficient and prices remain stable,” she said.
This visit is part of the South Sumatra Provincial Government’s efforts to ensure the availability and stability of prices of basic commodities so that people can carry out fasting in peace and comfort.
With this visit, it is hoped that cooperation between the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD and the OKI Food Security Service can continue to be improved and for the benefit of the wider community. (ojn/ril)
