South Sumatra Legislative Council Faction Receives the Governor’s Answer Regarding the Raperda on Amendments to the Regional Budget for the 2023 FY

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – 9 Fractions in the South Sumatra (Sumsel) Legislative Council (DPRD) can accept the Governor’s response to the general views of the South Sumatra DPRD factions on the Draft regional regulation (Raperda) Amendments to the South Sumatra Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for the 2023 Fiscal Year (TA) in the plenary meeting of the South Sumatra DPRD, Monday (7/8).

After previously the Leaders and Members of the South Sumatra DPRD listened to the delivery of answers to the general view of the faction referred to by the Governor of South Sumatra which was read out by the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra H Mawardi Yahya.

The LXVII Plenary Meeting (67) continued with the agenda of the Governor’s Answer to the General View of the South Sumatra DPRD Fractions on the Raperda Amendment to the APBD for the 2023 Fiscal Year led by the Deputy Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD; Hj. Kartika Sandra Desi accompanied by Deputy Chair of the South Sumatra DPRD Muchendi Mahzareki, attended by Deputy Governor of South Sumatra H. Mawardi Yahya, Secretary of South Sumatra S.A. Supriono, Secretary of the South Sumatra DPRD H. Aprizal, as well as representatives of OPD (Regional Apparatus Organizations) and other invited guests.

According to Mawardi Yahya, regarding infrastructure, the Provincial Government of South Sumatra is committed to completing provincial roads that have not been completed and are still in a badly damaged condition by allocating a budget for handling roads and bridges spread across 17 (seventeen) Regencies/Cities.

Furthermore, regarding the practice of charging high fees, especially for public high schools, this will be our concern, while the existence of monthly financing based on committee decisions, it can be explained that this has been regulated in the Minister of Education Regulation Number 75 of 2006 concerning School Committees, where financing in units Education through the committee is the participation of the community in the implementation of the education function by the government.

Thank you for the appreciation that has been given to the process of drafting the Raperda for Amendment to the 2023 APBD which refers to Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 84 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for preparing the APBD for the 2023 Fiscal Year.

The Plenary Meeting was then suspended for technical discussion at the Commissions with related agencies from 7 to 10 August 2023, as well as a consultation meeting for the Chairmen of the Commissions with the Budget Agency and the South Sumatra Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) to discuss the Raperda referred to on 11 August 2023 the report on the results of the discussion will be submitted by the Budget Agency at the LXVII Plenary Meeting (67) of the upcoming second-level talks.
