South Sumatra Legislative Council Holds 10th Plenary Meeting to Submit Recess Results Report

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Plenary Meeting X (10) of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD with the agenda of submitting the Report on the Results of the Implementation of the Recess Activities of the Leadership and Members of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD at the Plenary Meeting Room of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD, Monday (24/2/2025).

The Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD, Andie Dinialdie, when leading this meeting, said that the implementation of this recess was carried out individually or in groups used for each regional electoral district in order to absorb and accommodate aspirations from the community.

Andi Dinialdie said that based on the schedule set, the recess for the leadership and members of the South Sumatra DPRD will start from February 10 to 17, 2025.

“The ten electoral district groups have carried out the recess so that the results of this recess can be used as input for the work plan for the South Sumatra Provincial Government,” he said.

The chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD expressed his hope to the Governor of South Sumatra and his staff to be able to use the report on the results of the recess of the South Sumatra DPRD members as a consideration for the plan for compiling the implementation of development in South Sumatra in the future.

On this occasion, each electoral district conveyed the results of its reset where this recess was to absorb the aspirations of the community.

For example, from electoral district (Dapil) 3 which includes Ogan Ilir and OKI Regencies through his spokesperson, Muhammad Alki Ardiansyah said that this recess absorbed the aspirations of the community, including assistance for agricultural equipment and fertilizers which were problems for the local community, therefore his party hoped that this would get a solution from the government. Electoral district three also highlighted the problem of road and bridge infrastructure still needing attention to be improved, as well as clean water facilities. In addition, the three also asked the executive to build street lighting for the village and for the ranks and repair of school buildings.

Meanwhile, Regional Secretary Edward Candra admitted that he had listened to a number of reports on the results of the recess from each electoral district which were summarized into a decision of the South Sumatra DPRD. Therefore, the Regional Secretary promised to examine, classify the proposal according to the authority of the government, both the authority of the district/city, the authority of the province and the central government.

“That way, so that later we will submit it in the form of written review results to the Chairman of the DPRD and then later it will be summarized into the main ideas in the 2026 RKPD,” he said.
