South Sumatra Legislative Council Leaders Attend Submission of Audit Result Report for Specific Purposes for 2024

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Deputy Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD, H. Nopianto, S.Sos, MM, attended the submission of the Audit Result Report with a Specific Purpose (LHP DTT) for the 2024 Fiscal Year. The event took place at the Office of the Republic of Indonesia Audit Board (BPK RI) Representative Office of South Sumatra Province located on Jalan Demang Lebar Daun, Palembang Friday (17/1/2025)

This activity is part of the regional financial supervision mechanism carried out by the BPK RI to ensure transparency and accountability in the management of state finances. LHP DTT itself is a form of audit carried out with a specific focus to identify efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with the use of the budget within the scope of regional government.

In his remarks, the Deputy Chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD, H. Nopianto, S.Sos, MM, emphasized that the results of this audit are very important for the regional government as evaluation and improvement material in the implementation of programs and regional financial management.

“This report is a benchmark for us at the South Sumatra DPRD to ensure that budget management is carried out responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable provisions. We hope that with this audit, all forms of deviation can be minimized, and government performance can be increasingly optimal,” said H. Nopianto.

The LHP DTT submission event was also attended by the leadership and officials within the South Sumatra Provincial Government, representatives from various Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), and officials from the BPK RI Representative Office of South Sumatra. On that occasion, the Head of the BPK RI Representative Office of South Sumatra highlighted several findings that were of concern in the report, including recommendations that must be followed up immediately by the regional government.

“This audit aims to ensure the effectiveness of budget use and identify potential improvements in regional financial governance. We hope that the regional government can immediately follow up on the recommendations given in order to achieve better governance,” said the Head of the BPK RI Representative Office for South Sumatra.

In the discussion that took place after the submission of the report, the South Sumatra DPRD emphasized its commitment to continue to monitor the results of the audit so that the recommendations given by the BPK RI can be immediately implemented by the South Sumatra Provincial Government. The DPRD will also carry out further coordination to oversee the concrete steps taken in following up on the existing findings.

The event ended with the symbolic handover of the LHP DTT to representatives of the South Sumatra DPRD and the South Sumatra Provincial Government. With this report, it is hoped that regional financial management will be more transparent and can provide greater benefits for the people of South Sumatra. (ojn/bbs)
