Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) Andie Dinialdie SE.MM together with Deputy Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD H. Nopianto, S.Sos.MM received a courtesy visit from the Head of the South Sumatra Representative Office of the Audit Board (BPK) Rio Tirta SE.M.Acc., CSFA and staff in the DPRD Chairman’s office, Thursday (06/03/2025).

Present at the meeting were Dudi Agung Somantri, Head of the South Sumatra 1 Audit Division, Medianto Basuki, Head of the Secretariat, and M. Lefi Haliano, Head of the Legal Sub-Division of the South Sumatra BPK Representative.
The Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD, Andie Dinialdie, welcomed the visit by the Head of the South Sumatra BPK Representative and his staff. He expressed his gratitude for the presence of the BPK group and expressed his hope that the relationship between the DPRD and BPK could strengthen synergy in state financial management, especially in the South Sumatra Province.
“We very much welcome this visit, because the BPK has a very important role in maintaining accountability and transparency in state financial management. Therefore, through this visit, we hope to strengthen communication and cooperation between the DPRD and BPK to create better and more accountable financial management,” said Andie Dinialdie.
In addition, Andie also said that the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD is committed to continuing to support various programs implemented by the BPK, especially those related to audits and supervision of the use of state-sourced budgets. Good cooperation between the two institutions is expected to strengthen regional financial accountability and increase transparency in every stage of budget management.
Meanwhile, Rio Tirta, Head of the BPK Representative Office for South Sumatra, on that occasion explained that his visit was part of his new duties as Head of the BPK in South Sumatra. He added that the main purpose of this visit was to introduce himself and establish good relations with various parties, especially with the DPRD, as a very important partner in overseeing state financial management.
“This visit is not just an introduction, but also an initial step to build more intense communication and collaboration between the BPK and the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD. The BPK has the task of ensuring that every allocation of the state budget is used as well as possible in accordance with applicable provisions, and in this case, we hope to work more closely with the DPRD in ensuring transparent and accountable regional budget management,” said Rio.
On that occasion, Rio Tirta also said that the BPK is committed to conducting an audit of regional financial management in South Sumatra Province objectively, transparently, and professionally. According to him, the BPK not only functions as an institution that audits financial reports, but also plays an active role in providing constructive recommendations for regional governments so that state financial management can be better in the future.
Furthermore, Rio Tirta said that good state financial management not only requires commitment from the government, but also support from legislative institutions and the community. Therefore, he hopes that the DPRD can play an active role in ensuring that every policy taken related to state financial management can be implemented with full responsibility.
“In every process of state financial management, both at the central and regional levels, we need synergy from all parties, including the DPRD. We believe that with good communication, synergy between the BPK and the DPRD can strengthen supervision and ensure that every budget used is in accordance with its designation,” added Rio.
