South Sumatra Legislative Council Receives KIP South Sumatra’s Gathering to Discuss 2025 Program

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) Andi Dinialdie received a friendly visit from the South Sumatra Provincial Information Commission (KIP) in his office, Tuesday (4/3/2025).

The Head of the South Sumatra Information Commission, Muhamad Fathony, said that the visit was aimed at establishing good relations and conveying the 2025 work program plan.

In the meeting held at the South Sumatra DPRD office, all South Sumatra KI Commissioners were present, namely Haidir Rohimin (Deputy Chair), Jomarthine Chandra (Information Dispute Resolution Division), Hadi Prayogo (Institutional Division), Yoppy Van Houten (Socialization Division), and the Secretary of the South Sumatra KI, Yulis Tyagita Utami.

Muhamad Fathony explained that in the near future, the South Sumatra Information Commission will carry out Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities for Public Agencies in South Sumatra.

“This Monev will be carried out to measure the extent to which Public Agencies have implemented public information disclosure in their respective agencies in South Sumatra,” he explained.

In addition, the South Sumatra Information Commission also plans to apply as the host of the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of Information Commissions throughout Indonesia in Palembang next year.

Responding to this, the Chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD, Andi Dinialdi, SE, congratulated the inauguration of the Commissioners of the South Sumatra Information Commission for the 2024-2028 period.

Regarding the planned work program, he emphasized that the South Sumatra DPRD will provide full support, especially in the implementation of Monev for public bodies.

“Especially regarding the Monev activities of Public Bodies, this activity must be carried out as well as possible so that it can be in line with the public information openness index value in South Sumatra,” said Andi.

He also suggested that the Information Commission coordinate intensively with the Governor and the South Sumatra DPRD if they want to hold a national-scale event such as the Rakornas.

“In principle, the South Sumatra DPRD will fully support this activity because it will bring a good name to South Sumatra. The government and DPRD will definitely support national-scale activities because participants who come to South Sumatra will at least increase the circulation of money in South Sumatra,” he added.

Furthermore, Andi emphasized the importance of every activity having a positive impact and providing good output for the people and government of South Sumatra. (ojn/bbs)
