According to the Governor’s Regulation, some of the top schools are allowed to collect tuition fees.
Syaiful emphasized that there are incentives for honorary teachers. In 2023, there will be welfare benefits for honorary teachers.

With the recess of the Dapil 1 DPRD of the South Sumatra Province, the Principal of SMAN 1 H Moses Ahmad S Pd MM explained, of course this is an honor for the big family of SMAN 1, because this school has been visited by the chairman and members of the DPRD of the South Sumatra Province.
“Of course, with the arrival of the DPRD members, we, the big family of SMAN 1 Palembang, can submit requests and complaints, so we hope that there will be a way out for these DPRD members. Because they determine the budget in South Sumatra,” he said.
Furthermore, Moses revealed that the teacher’s salary at SMAN 1 is on average the lowest, 2,500,000 per month.
“I don’t think there is a school in Palembang that achieves such a salary. Because the task of the school principal is the welfare of its citizens and we have tried to do that,” he said.
“We hope that their visit will not only be a ceremony, but that they must really absorb aspirations from below and try to fulfill what the people expect,” he concluded. (ojn/ril)
