Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Chairman of the South Sumatra Legislative Council (DPRD), Andie Dinialdie, received an audience with the Head of the South Sumatra Regional Office of the Ministry of Law, Agato P Simamora at the South Sumatra DPRD Office, Monday (20/1/2025).

In the audience, Kakanwil Agato expressed his appreciation for the welcome received, and hoped that the cooperation between the South Sumatra DPRD and the South Sumatra Kemenkum Regional Office could be even more solid, especially in the process of forming better and more focused regional regulations.
“The Ministry of Law has a role in Harmonizing, Rounding, and Strengthening the concept of forming Regional Regulations. We are committed to supporting every stage based on Law Number 13 of 2022 concerning the Formation of Legislation,” said Agato.
Agato explained that during 2024, the South Sumatra Kemenkum Regional Office through 21 existing Legislation Drafters had harmonized 68 draft regional regulations and 542 draft regional regulations from 17 regencies/cities in South Sumatra.
“The cooperation that has been established is expected to be able to strengthen legal governance in the regions, while supporting sustainable development through comprehensive and implementable regulations,” continued the former Director of the Directorate General of Immigration.
Not only that, Agato also mentioned other duties of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights such as legal development, intellectual property services and general legal administration that require the role of the DPRD in formulating related policies and regulations.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD, Andie Dinialdie accompanied by the Secretary of the DPRD, Aprizal, responded well to this visit.
“This is one of our efforts to strengthen the implementation of duties and functions in the preparation of regional regulations that are in accordance with the needs of the community and applicable legal regulations,” he concluded. Also present to accompany the Head of the South Sumatra Kemenkum Regional Office in the audience were the Head of the Legislation and Legal Development Division, Hendrik Pagiling, Head of the Legal Services Division, Alkana Yudha, Head of the Legal Services Division, Gunawan, Head of the General and Administration Division, Bulan Mahardika Subekti.
