Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra Legislative Council (DPRD) Anita Noeringhati won the “Outstanding Action for Women’s Empowerment” award at the 2024 CNN Indonesia Awards.
The award was handed over directly by the Main Director of Transmedia Warnedy in Palembang, South Sumatra, Wednesday (10/7/2024).
Anita NoeringHati is the first woman to serve as Chair of the South Sumatra Province DPRD since this parliament was formed. She is a female politician who is very persistent in fighting for affirmative action in Parliament, especially in the regions.
Through the Indonesian Political Women’s Caucus (KPPI), Anita is fighting for affirmative action for a 30 percent quota in parliament.
Not only that, Anita also continues to provide motivation regarding the need for women to enter the world of politics and carry aspirations for the good of society.
Anita’s name is said to be running as a candidate for deputy governor of South Sumatra. He admitted that he was optimistic that Golkar would be promoted in the South Sumatra regional elections.
A number of figures and invited guests were also present to enliven this event. Some of them were Chairman of CT Corp Chairul Tanjung, Chief Editor of CNN Indonesia Titin Rosmasari, and Director of Transmedia Warnedy.
Furthermore, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Communication and Information Budi ArieSetiadi.
Then, Chairman of the DPR RI Puan Maharini, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, Acting Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi, Sultan Iskandar Mahmud Badaruddin, and several other figures.
This time, the CNN Indonesia Awards will give awards to city/district governments, BUMDs, and private parties in South Sumatra.
A number of awards that will be given include Leading Public Service Innovation, Outstanding Digital Innovation for Governance Sustainability, Best Risk Management, Best Dedication in Culture and Traditional Preservation, and Extraordinary Devotion to Unity and Nationalism.
The CNN Indonesia Awards were previously held in Makassar on March 21 2024 with the theme “From South Sulawesi to the Archipelago” and in Bali with the theme “From the Island of the Gods to the Pride of the Archipelago” on May 13 2024. (ojn/ril)
