Acting Governor Elen Setiadi Attends 2024 One Map Policy Summit National Working Meeting

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel), Elen Setiadi, S.H, M.S.E, attended the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) One Map Policy Summit 2024 or One Map Policy held by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia at The St. Regis Jakarta, Thursday (11/7/2024) morning.

This activity was attended directly by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Airlangga Hartarto.

In the Rakernas, Acting Governor Elen Setiadi was present accompanied by the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of South Sumatra Province, Regina Ariyanti.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that the implementation of the one map activity has been running for 8 years starting in 2016 through Presidential Decree 9 of 2016, then updated with Presidential Decree 23 of 2021.

According to Airlangga, this one map policy includes 4 main stages of activity, namely compilation and integration coordinated by BIG. Then, the synchronization carried out by the Ministry of Economy and various geospatial data and information which are also coordinated by the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG).

“This one map policy has completed 151 thematic maps from 23 Ministries/Institutions in 38 Provinces,” explained Airlangga.

Airlangga further said that several one map policy products are currently being widely utilized by Ministries/Institutions and local governments, such as for improving spatial plans, preparing detailed spatial plans, preparing master plans for regional economic development, as well as improving licensing governance and efforts to resolve overlapping land.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto also hopes that this national working meeting can formulate strategies for achieving targets, one map policy, implementation developments, and resolving spatial utilization discrepancies, as well as policy directions in implementing the one map policy after 2024.

The National Working Meeting held for two days on July 11-12 has three agendas, namely the first related to the progress of implementing the one map policy. Second, the implementation of resolving spatial utilization discrepancies and the third agenda, recommendations for the success of the one map policy after 2024.

“Several recommendations have been submitted and we will submit these recommendations to the President,” explained Airlangga.

Several Ministers were also present at the 2024 One Map Policy Summit, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of ATR/BPN Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Chief of Presidential Staff of the Republic of Indonesia, General TNI (ret.) Moeldoko, and Head of the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) Muh. Aris Marfai, and Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Committee Nurul Ghufron. (ojn/ril)
