Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, received the board of directors of PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (Pusri) Palembang in a warm gathering. Also present were the President Director of PT Pusri, Maryono, along with other officials in the Governor’s living room on Monday (September 8, 2025).
This meeting was a crucial moment to strengthen the synergy between the South Sumatra Provincial Government and PT Pusri. Governor Herman Deru emphasized that to advance the fertilizer sector and ensure smooth distribution, a common focus and vision are needed between all relevant parties.
“Currently, fertilizer is more easily accessible to farmers in South Sumatra. However, we must continue to strive to accelerate production and supervision to prevent shortages in the field,” said Herman Deru.
He also added that by streamlining and increasing production, fertilizer shortages can be avoided, allowing farmers to obtain sufficient and timely supplies to increase their yields.
This meeting demonstrated a strong commitment from both parties to continue working together to support food security and the welfare of farmers in South Sumatra.
Also in attendance were Assistant II for Economics, Finance, and Development, Ir. Basyaruddin Akhmad, M.Sc., and heads of regional government agencies (OPD) of the South Sumatra Provincial Government. (rys/ril)
