Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – A survey from the Indonesian Political Parameter Institute on 15-29 June 2022 showed Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto, and Anies Baswedan excelled in electability as presidential candidates (candidates) in the 2024 election.
Indonesian Political Parameter Executive Director Adi Prayitno said that based on an open-question-based electability simulation, Ganjar Pranowo won 25.4 percent electability, Prabowo Subianto 19 percent, Anies Baswedan 17.8 percent, Ridwan Kamil 7.9 percent, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono 3.4 percent. , and Sandiaga Uno 2.9 percent.
“Regarding open-ended question-based electability, we asked respondents to answer spontaneously so that Ganjar Pranowo was in first place, followed by Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan took the third position,” Adi said in an online event releasing the results of the national survey “The Latest Political Map Ahead of the Simultaneous Election. 2024” which was monitored in Jakarta, Tuesday.
In a closed-question-based electability simulation, 28 percent of respondents chose Ganjar Pranowo, then Prabowo Subianto 22.4 percent, Anies Baswedan 19.4 percent, Ridwan Kamil 8.4 percent, Sandiaga Uno 4.3 percent, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono 3, 5 percent, Puan Maharani 1.6 percent, and the remaining 12.3 percent of respondents have not made their choice.
“These names were chosen because they are often referred to by the public, fulfill the topic of discussion regarding the presidential candidate map, and have the potential to become candidate figures who may be able to compete in the 2024 General Election,” said Adi.
The survey results based on the electability basis per region also showed that Ganjar Pranowo excelled by achieving 36.2 percent electability in Java and 17 percent outside Java.
Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto won 19.3 percent electability in Java and 26.3 percent outside Java, and Anies Baswedan won 17.9 percent in Java and 21.7 percent outside Java.
The results of this survey are in line with several previous Indonesian Political Parameter surveys which showed that the results of the top three electability of presidential candidates in the 2024 election were dominated by Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto, and Anies Baswedan.
Survey of Indonesian Political Parameters on 15-29 June 2022 with respondents being residents who are at least 17 years old or married.
Sampling of 1,200 respondents using simple random sampling method. Data collection using the telepolling method uses a questionnaire by trained enumerators as a result of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in several areas.
