The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru visited and reviewed the condition of the fire victims in Batu Ampar, Palembang

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Not only ensuring the condition of its citizens, the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru also came with a number of aids for the victims.

According to Herman Deru, initially he intended to come in the morning to visit the victims. However, because he had to attend a nature conservation event in Lahat Regency, he only had time to attend during the day.

On that occasion, he asked dozens of fire victims to respond to this disaster with steadfastness. There is no need to find out who is at fault because everyone certainly does not want a disaster. Whether it’s because of pure accident or due to negligence or carelessness.

“Please put all that aside first. Right now, the most important thing is that we don’t reduce our gratitude. Keep worshiping and don’t blame and get angry with the Creator. We must believe that there is the best secret behind this disaster,” Herman Deru said.

For this reason, according to Herman Deru, children who are victims of this fire will also be provided with trauma healing assistance centered in the Jauharul Islam Mosque which is not far from the location of the fire.

“We provide trauma healing to children because we are worried that they will be psychologically disturbed,” he added.

Meanwhile, one of the fire victims, Yanti 44, a mother of three, said she was quite relieved by the amount of assistance that came, including cash assistance from the Governor.

“Alhamdulillah, it can be used for additional. The plan is for the cost of building a house. Although it will not be the same as the previous house. And it can also help for school children, thank you very much,” he said trying to stay strong.

Present on the occasion, Member of the DPRD of South Sumatra Province, Dr. H. Budiarto Marsul, Head of South Sumatra KORMI, Hj. Samantha Tivani Herman Deru, Head of the South Sumatra Provincial Social Service, Mirwansyah, and the South Sumatra Provincial BPBD Representative, as well as a number of OPD Heads within the South Sumatra Provincial Government.
