Palembang, The Indonesia Post – On his agenda to attend the Graduation Ceremony of Akhirussanah and the Graduation Ceremony of the Masdarul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru (HD) expressed his gratitude to the Management of the Masdarul Ulum Islamic Boarding School who have assisted the government in providing education, especially religious education for the younger generation in South Sumatra.
On that occasion, HD also handed over an Umrah prize to a Santriwati named Septa Anggira class XII MA for her achievement in memorizing 30 Juz of the Qur’an.
On that occasion, HD reminded all parents to be able to provide a balanced education between general knowledge and religious knowledge to their children.
“The stronghold for our children in this borderless era is religion, so that when they receive information from social media and cyberspace, they can sort it out with balanced knowledge,” said HD.
HD also added that there are three pillars of success that a child must have, namely general knowledge, religious knowledge and character.
Management of the Masdarul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, H.M. Syafei Diningrat, SE, MM reported that 10 people graduated on this occasion, including Haidar Zaki Mirza (5 years) memorized 1 Juz, Zea Syakira (5 years) memorized 1 Juz, Aisyah (5 years) memorized 1 Juz, Syifa Adelia (12 years) memorized 5 chapters, Lavenia Gamesa (12 years) memorized 3 chapters, Fika Oktaviani (11 years) memorized 3 chapters, Cinda Agustin memorized 20 chapters, Feni Martati memorized 20 chapters, Riska Amalia memorized 10 chapters and the First Hafidzah of Masdarul Islamic Boarding School Ulum’s name was Septa Anggira.
In addition, he hopes that the South Sumatra Provincial Government can provide assistance to the Masdarul Ulum Islamic Boarding School to complete the construction of a mosque or Islamic boarding school building. (mhn/ril)
