Vice Governor Cik Ujang Appreciates the 2025 Siti Fatimah Cup III Football Tournament

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The 2025 Siti Fatimah Cup III soccer tournament held by the Siti Fatimah Regional Hospital of South Sumatra Province was officially closed by the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra H Cik Ujang at the Gelora Sriwijaya Jakabaring Stadium in Palembang, Saturday (22/02/2025) afternoon.

The Deputy Governor of South Sumatra H Cik Ujang expressed his appreciation and gratitude for holding the tournament by the Siti Fatimah Regional Hospital of South Sumatra Province which is very concerned about soccer.

According to him, the tournament is in line with the HDCU program and determination to advance soccer in South Sumatra Province in order to foster the best soccer players native to South Sumatra.

“Incidentally, even though it is a little bit, I also like soccer. In the past, in Lahat Regency, I also created a soccer club called Cahaya United FC and have competed in various regions in Indonesia. In the future, we also plan to create a soccer club called Sumsel United,” he said.

The closing of the tournament with the theme “Advance for All” was marked by the presentation of trophies by the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra Cik Ujang to the champions.

The first place winner was Siti Fatimah FC A and the second place winner was Siti Fatimah FC B with a match result of 4: 2. Meanwhile, the third place winner was PS Bank Sumsel Babel who managed to defeat PS PUSRI with a match result of 3: 1.

The Chairperson of the Siti Fatimah Cup III Tournament Committee in 2025, Nuryandi said, the tournament event which has been taking place since January 11, 2025 was attended by 16 teams from the Palembang City Government, OPD and BUMD in South Sumatra Province.

“A number of matches have been held in several places including the Jakabaring Athletic Field for the preliminary round, then at the Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium and the Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium,” he said.

Also present was the Director of the Siti Fatimah Hospital of South Sumatra Province, dr. Syamsuddin Isaac S.M., Sp.OG. MARS who also played on the field in the Siti Fatimah FC A team. Also present were the Head of South Sumatra Youth and Sports Agency H Rudi Irawan, S.Sos., M.Si., and other Heads of South Sumatra Provincial OPDs. (ojn/ril)
