Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Housing noted that the achievements of the One Million Houses Program (PSR) in 2022 reached 1,117,491 units.
“The progress of the achievements of the One Million Houses Program as of December 31 2022 amounted to 1,117,491 units,” said Director General of Housing of the PUPR Ministry Iwan Suprijanto in his statement in Jakarta, Friday.
Iwan explained that the achievements of the One Million Houses Program consisted of 835,597 low-income community housing units (MBR) and 281,894 non-MBR housing units.
The One Million Houses Program (PSR) is a movement of acceleration and collaboration between the government and housing development actors in providing decent housing for the community which has been proclaimed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia since 2015.
“The achievement of PSR from 2015 to 2021 is 6,871,094 units. We are sure that with the achievement of PSR in 2022, more and more Indonesian people will be able to own and live in livable houses,” he said.
In 2022 the Directorate General of Housing has also carried out several strategic efforts to accelerate PSR data collection, including integrating data applications related to housing construction, collaborating on PSR data collection with the Housing Provision Implementation Center (BP2P) and the local government as an extension of the Center.
Then the implementation of PSR Data Collection Technical Guidance for the Provincial government Regency/City government, person in charge of housing data collection at each BP2P, and Housing Data Collection Expert (TAPP), as well as implementing monitoring of PSR data collection and data screening.
“We are implementing this strategy to accelerate data collection so that there is no double counting of PSR data,” said Iwan.
Based on data owned by the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR, the achievements of the One Million Houses Program, especially MBR houses, consisted of the construction of 457,063 houses carried out by the PUPR Ministry, 15,082 other ministries, and 63,052 local governments.
Apart from that, 219,151 housing units were built by developers, 2,292 housing CSR units and 78,957 community units.
Meanwhile, the construction of non-MBR houses came from 224,913 developers and 56,981 units from the community.
“We hope that the One Million Houses Program can increase the enthusiasm of all stakeholders in the housing sector to build more decent housing for the people of Indonesia,” said Iwan. (mhn/bbs)
