HD Observes the Uninhabitable House of Mrs. Azizah

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Ms. Azizah who is a resident of Gandus Village, Palembang today (Friday, 12/5) received a direct visit from the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru (HD).

This was done by HD as a regional leader who had to respond quickly to every report submitted by residents, as well as in order to see and follow up on reports of requests for house renovations submitted.

“I invited my grandchildren to see the condition of our brothers and sisters who are still very deprived, where the house is currently unfit for habitation, therefore we are currently conducting a review,” said HD when interviewed by the media crew.

He also regretted that the house of Mrs. Azizah was built on land belonging to the foundation so that the government could not help repair it permanently because prior permission was required from the foundation.

“Unfortunately this house was built on land owned by the Jamik Mosque, so we can’t help permanently. If you want to make it permanent we have to get a foundation permit first. In the meantime we have provided financial assistance to strengthen the foundation of the house and reconstruct the house to make it fit for habitation “, said HD. (mhn/ril)
