Indonesian soldiers and residents repair damaged roads on the Indonesia-Malaysia border

Kapuas Hulu, The Indonesia Post – Soldier from the Indonesian Armed Forces Security Task Force on the RI-Malaysia border Yonarmed 19/105 Trk Bogani and the community worked together to repair damaged roads in Nanga Bayan Village, Ketungau Hulu District, the Indonesia-Malaysia border area, Sintang region, West Kalimantan.

“The condition of the road was quite badly damaged, so our soldiers who were at the Koki Sei Bear Post together with residents worked together to repair it so that it could be passed by two and four wheels,” said Dansatgas Pamtas Yonarmed 19/105 Trk Bogani, Lt. Col. Arm Edi Yulian Budiargo, to BETWEEN, at Badau Kapuas Hulu, Sunday.

Edi conveyed that the community service activities were not merely repairing damaged roads, but also raising the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation in the community.

According to him, the people of Nanga Bayan Village are very enthusiastic about this mutual cooperation, even though the road repair is a temporary measure, at least the road access is not broken.

Separately, Danki Pos Nanga Bayan First Lieutenant Arm I Gede Bagus Tomy also added that the community service to repair the road was carried out because considering that roads are a very important and vital infrastructure facility in an area.

Therefore, we from the Nanga Bayan Pamtas Task Force Post and the people of Nanga Bayan Village worked together to repair the damaged road.

“It is hoped that the roads that were previously impassable by two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles can be passed and used properly,” said Tomy.

He explained that the repair of the road would be carried out for approximately six kilometers which would be carried out in stages by filling it with river stones so that passing vehicles would not collapse.

Meanwhile, the Head of Nanga Bayan Village Widiyanto expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided in road repair activities by the RI-Malaysia Pamtas Task Force Post Nanga Bayan Yonarmed 19/105 Trk Bogani.

“I and also the people of Nanga Bayan Village really feel helped by the presence of TNI men at the border. With the repair of this road it is very helpful and makes it easier for residents to access in their daily activities,” he said. (mhn/bbs)
