South Sumatra PKK “Gebrak” Masks Door to Door

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairman of the South Sumatra family welfare (TP PKK), Hj Febrita Lustia Herman Deru accompanied by the Deputy Chairperson of the South Sumatra TP PKK Hj Fauziah Mawardi Yahya actively led the Joint Movement to Wear Masks (Gebrak Masks) Door to Door organized by the South Sumatra Prov PKK PKK in collaboration with South Sumatra PMI.

“Today, together with PKK, PMI, Head of Sub-district, Head of Village, did a door-to-door mask break, which means that we go door-to-door to people in their respective homes to distribute masks and education on health protocols,” said Feby.

Feby said that through this activity, she and the team could see and know firsthand the condition of the community whether they had understood and implemented health protocols.

“In this activity, we also socialize and appeal about preventing covid-19 with PMI South Sumatra. Incidentally we also meet people who are sick, they have already been treated, so we know that during this pandemic, the puskesmas have also come door to door to the community, “she said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the Sumsel PKK TP, Fauziah Mawardi said this activity was welcomed by the local community, where they could also find out about the condition of the community and help people in need.

On that occasion, around 2000 masks were distributed. And also as a means of more persuasive health protocol education. Because every time masks were distributed, Feby and Fauziah and the team also kept reminding people to keep wearing masks when they left the house. (nfl/rel)
