Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra attended the Opening Ceremony of the Consultation Meeting and Regional Working Meeting of the South Sumatra Dekranasda in 2025, which took place at The Sultan Convention Center. Wednesday (25/06/2025)
This event was held to commemorate the 53rd PKK Unity Movement Day and the inauguration of the 2025 South Sumatra Dekranasda Rakon & Rakerda. This Rakon and Rakerda aim to align the work programs of the city and district dekranasda throughout South Sumatra.
“The Rakerda participants numbered 38 members of the South Sumatra Provincial dekranasda and 51 members of the South Sumatra city/district dekranasda. The dekranasda activities will include blood donation, social services to the underprivileged, education on household waste management and others.” said Mrs. Lidyawati Cik Ujang as Expert Staff of the South Sumatra PKK TP and also the head of the organizing committee for today’s event.
In his speech, the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru, appreciated the activities in the 53rd year of PKK which were always full of enthusiasm and stepped forward with full dedication.
“In its history, PKK was born from concern, so I always emphasize to PKK members from every level, be it village, city, regency in South Sumatra, never forget to always have 10 main PKK programs installed, and that is our navigator,” said H. Herman Deru.
Herman Deru emphasized the importance of the active role of PKK and Dekranasda as strategic partners of the regional government in formulating the right direction for development. He requested that these forums not only be ceremonial events, but produce real recommendations that can be used as references for regional programs.
“In this consolidation meeting, it is expected to inventory the solutions obtained, so that the PKK program and partners are not only the PMD service, so that they can explore the potential in the corners of the region in South Sumatra. I hope that the PKK city and district can provide recommendations to the Provincial PKK and the Provincial PKK can provide solutions to members in the city and district.” he said
The Governor also congratulated all participants of Rakon and Rakerda, hopefully they can get the desired results in supporting development in South Sumatra. (rys/ril)
