Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono, M.Sc., Ph.D., Minister of Transportation Ir. Budi Karya Sumadi and the Chairman of the Indonesia Eradication Commission (KPK), Komjen Pol. Firli Bahuri, M.Si accompanied by Pj. OKU Regent Drs. Edward Chandra, MM conducted the “Inauguration of the OKU Regency Air Lontar Bridge Infrastructure”.
HD said to the community that the existence of the bridge is proof of the attention of local people who pay special attention to their region in developing their area.
“This bridge is a synergy with the Ministry and the South Sumatra Provincial Government to build bridge infrastructure so that it is connected between regions with the aim of increasing agricultural production because this area is generally farmers,” said HD).
HD said the suspension bridge was broken on October 17, 2021, as a result of being hit by flash floods which caused the bridge to break.
