Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Starting from the view of the importance of quality early childhood education and care is a view that has been recognized globally. Therefore, the Mother of PAUD (Early Childhood Education) of South Sumatra, Feby Deru, held a coordination meeting (coordination meeting) for mothers of PAUD throughout South Sumatra, at Griya Agung, Saturday (24/10/2020) afternoon.
In the coordination meeting, Feby Deru said the coordination meeting for Mother PAUD was carried out in order to synergize the development of quality PAUD programs with integrated holistic services between the center and the regions.
She explained that investment in education, especially PAUD is the first step that can direct the progress of a country that is able to compete in the era of globalization.
“Mother of PAUD is a symbol as well as the main partner in the national movement for quality PAUD. Its existence is very important to mobilize all components and resources in the region of South Sumatra Province,” she explained.
The formation of the Pokja Bunda PAUD South Sumatra, continued Feby, considering the role of the PAUD Mother in building communication with all stakeholders who have the potential to develop PAUD services.
“The Pokja Bunda PAUD is expected to collaborate regularly and continuously, to plan programs and activities for the Mother of Early Childhood Education. In addition, to provide assistance, coordination, synchronization and synergy across programs in developing early childhood education services that are in accordance with their respective fields, striving for the quality of teachers and education personnel early childhood, “she added.
In the future, Feby Deru is optimistic that the role of the Mother of PAUD South Sumatra can be maximized, and able to work together, help each other in carrying out their duties.
“Our main task is how we discuss PAUD programs in South Sumatra to carry out their duties and functions in accordance with the purpose of the formation of the PAUD Mother,” she said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Pokja Bunda PAUD Sumsel, Fauziah Mawardi Yahya, conveyed that the background of holistic integrative early childhood education is the whole (comprehensive) handling of early childhood which includes nutrition and health services, education and care. Also protection to optimize all aspects of child development carried out in an integrated manner by various stakeholders at the community, regional and central government levels.
“This coordination meeting aims to strengthen the policy socialization program for quality early childhood education programs with integrated holistic services. At the same time provide maximum support for the implementation of quality PAUD programs with integrated holistic services from all PAUD mothers, district / city stakeholders throughout South Sumatra,” she explained.
Fauziah Mawardi Yahya said that the coordination meeting for mothers of early childhood education throughout South Sumatra lasted for 2 days and was attended by 50 participants consisting of mothers of PAUD districts / cities, Pokja Bunda PAUD districts / cities, South Sumatra Education Office, South Sumatra Health Office, South Sumatra PKK, BP PAUD and Dikmas , PAUD Task Force, South Sumatra BKKBN, Himpaudi Sumsel, and Pokja Bunda PAUD.
The Coordination Meeting for Mother of PAUD Sumsel also presented Dr. Sugiyanto, Head of the South Sumatra Dikmas PAUD Development Center as a resource person.
In her presentation to the participants of the Mother PAUD Coordination Meeting in South Sumatra, Dr. Sugiyanto said the learning challenges for PAUD children during this pandemic are getting heavier. Therefore, he invited all mothers of PAUD South Sumatra to unite in providing educational services for PAUD children. (jekk/ril)
