Nevertheless, this did not become an obstacle for the Chairman of the South Sumatra TP Feby Deru to continue to synergize the PKK movement and program with the TP PKK districts / cities in South Sumatra by holding a PKK consultation meeting (rakon) throughout South Sumatra, at Griya Agung, Friday ( 23/10/2020) morning, followed by the heads of the district / city TP PKK.
Feby Deru said the PKK programs and activities that had been prepared for one year in 2020 could not be implemented optimally. However, this did not dampen the spirit of the South Sumatra TP PKK to act and serve to help people affected by Covid-19.
“For this reason, we are holding PKK constellation meetings throughout South Sumatra to synergize the PKK movement and program in the next year. Even though we know that this pandemic will somehow end. The PKK movement and program must continue and we must end it,” said Feby.
She continued, the government has made every effort to overcome the pandemic, especially the economic sector. Because of this, the provincial TP PKK continues to strive to step in together with the government to carry out activities that have a positive impact on the community.
“By opening public kitchens, distributing ready-to-eat food, distributing basic necessities, distributing masks and face shields directly to the public, as well as to traditional markets, distributing hand sanitizers, distributing floor cleaning fluids for mosques and prayer rooms in the South Sumatra region,” explained the number’s wife. one in South Sumatra.
Not only distributing aid, added Feby, PKK South Sumatra also made educational efforts to the community to implement 3M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance.

The South Sumatra PKK Rakon itself was opened by Plt. South Sumatra Provincial Government Assistant for Welfare and Welfare Akhmad Najib, representing the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru.
In his speech, the Governor of South Sumatra, which he read, Akhmad Najib, said that the South Sumatra Provincial Government welcomed the activities of the South Sumatra PKK coordination meeting, which is one of the South Sumatra TP PKK work programs aimed at strengthening the relationship between the South Sumatra TP PKK and district / city TP PKK.
“This activity is to align the work program of the South Sumatra TP PKK with the district / city TP PKK in order to improve family welfare. This Rakon can be used as a means of interacting with each other and discussing various issues related to the South Sumatra TP PKK program,” he added.
Najib revealed that the PKK movement has shown many successes, especially in implementing the 10 main PKK programs. This not only increases the role of women in development, but what is more important is that the PKK movement has contributed to the dharma of service in improving the welfare of society, especially women in rural areas.
“On this occasion, I also remind the Regents / Mayors throughout South Sumatra to always provide real support for empowerment and family welfare work programs in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs Letter dated May 11, 2006 number 411.4 / 983 / SJ. And hopefully all programs created produce work programs that are beneficial to the community at large, “he said.
