Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts rain with light to heavy intensity to fall in several cities in Indonesia on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
During the day, light rain is likely to fall in the cities of Serang, Gorontalo, Bandung, Surabaya, Palangka Raya, Tanjung Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Ambon, Jayapura and Manado.
Only Banjarmasin, the capital city of South Kalimantan Province, is forecasted to face moderate rain in the afternoon.
The rest of the cities on Tuesday afternoon are forecast to be sunny, partly cloudy or partly cloudy.
Weather for the cities of Banda Aceh and Padang is forecasted to be sunny, while the cities of Denpasar, Bengkulu, Central Jakarta, Jambi, Samarinda, Kupang, Pekanbaru, Palembang and Medan are cloudy.
The cities of Yogyakarta, Semarang, Pontianak, Tarakan, Pangkal Pinang, Ternate, Mataram, Manokwari, Mamuju, Makassar, and Kendari are forecasted to be cloudy during the day.
In the evening, light rain is likely to fall in Semarang, Surabaya, Tarakan, Ternate, Jayapura, and Mamuju; rain accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in Jambi City; rain with moderate intensity is likely to fall in the city of Medan; and heavy rain has the potential to flush Bengkulu City.
According to the BMKG forecast, at night the weather in Banda Aceh is sunny and the cities of Central Jakarta, Banjarmasin, Mataram, Kupang, Pekanbaru, Kendari and Padang are cloudy.
The cities of Denpasar, Serang, Yogyakarta, Gorontalo, Bandung, Pontianak, Palangka Raya, Samarinda, Pangkal Pinang, Tanjung Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Ambon, Manokwari, Makassar, Manado and Palembang are forecast to be cloudy at night. (ojn/bbs)
