Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru (HD) fully supports the conflict resolution of the Betung Village, Lubuk Keliat District, Ogan Ilir Regency, and PTPN VII. He also hopes that the conflict can be resolved with a cool head.
That was said by HD when receiving the Executive Board of the Anti-Oppression People Movement (Gertak) in the context of resolving conflicts between PTPN VII and the community in the Governor’s Guest Room, Wednesday (7/22).
Governor Herman Deru’s seriousness to help resolve long-standing conflicts has been greatly appreciated by the Executive Board of the Anti-Oppression Movement Alliance (Gertak) in resolving PTPN conflicts and the community.
Ogan Ilir’s Reformed Farmers Union Public Relations, Dedi Krisna claimed to be proud of Governor Herman Deru who had been seriously resolving conflicts over community land disputes.
“We appreciate the response of Mr. Governor Herman Deru,” he explained.
According to Dedi’s view, at present the excess land is clear as well as the matter of the clarity of the people’s land.
“So the solution we offer is to return the people to more or less 176 hectares,” he said.
Meanwhile Governor Herman Deru hopes that both the people of Betung Village and PTPN will be resolved soon but in a good way. “I want this solution to be cool-headed so that it goes well,” HD said.
HD is very grateful to the Alliance who fought for the people with such good intentions. Even HD appreciation for the persistence done so far.
“I thank you guys for fighting from the right intention. I accept it here for your good intentions, I also appreciate your persistence for the steps that have been taken,” said HD.
Therefore, HD will provide a middle ground / solution by sending a letter to PTPN regarding the 176 hectare plasma. “I am sure I will not participate in this polemic but resolve it,” concluded HD. (jekk/rel)
