Palembang, The Indonesia Post – After releasing free travelers using the train via Palembang’s Kertapati station, the Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni then released 17 buses containing 620 free travelers in 2024 between regions both within the South Sumatra Province and outside the Province.
The gathering and release point for homecoming participants will be at the Alang-alang Lebar type A terminal in Palembang, Saturday, (6/04/2024)
The bus will depart travelers to various destinations, including Palembang-Lahat-Pendopo-Pagar Alam, Palembang-Lubuk Linggau-Muratara, Palembang-Solo-Surabaya and several other destinations.
The Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Agus Fatoni, expressed his gratitude to all parties who have supported this program so that this homecoming was carried out well. He also advised all homecoming participants to remain careful and maintain safety
“Happy homecoming, say hello to your family back home, I hope this homecoming is safe, safe and happy,” he said
Meanwhile, the Head of the South Sumatra Provincial Transportation Service, H. Arinarsah JS, reported that there was an increase in interest from homecoming participants this year, resulting in additional modes of transportation and destinations, which in the previous year was limited to Solo and this year the final destination route was the city of Surabaya.
“We are very happy with the enthusiasm of residents to return home this year and there are additional routes, namely with the destination Surabaya, hopefully there will be more next year,” he hoped.
At the end of the event, Agus Fatoni gave souvenirs to the parties involved in making the free homecoming program a success and at the same time sent off the 17 bus homecoming participants.
Also present were the heads of Jasa Raharja Mulkan SE, MSi., AAA-IK, and the Heads of South Sumatra Provincial OPD. (ojn/ril)
