Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi Receives the President Director of PT. Pupuk Sriwijaya, Daconi Khotob in the context of a friendly gathering in the Griya Agung Meeting Room, Friday, (18/10/2024).
On that occasion, a discussion was held on PT Pupuk Sriwijaya’s strategic projects including the construction of P3B, the silting of the Musi River, Palembang New Port, and the Distribution of Subsidized Fertilizer in South Sumatra.
Acting Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi hopes that the cooperation between PT Pusri and the South Sumatra Provincial Government will continue to be well maintained, especially in the distribution of fertilizers in South Sumatra.
Regarding the Palembang New Port, Elen said that the South Sumatra Provincial Government continues to coordinate with the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation. “Of course we will support and encourage various PSNs in South Sumatra in particular because we are sure this will have many benefits,” he concluded.
Primarily, Elen also appreciates and asks for cooperation in optimizing the distribution of fertilizers to support the downstreaming of South Sumatra coffee so that it can be exported.
Previously, the President Director of PT. Pupuk Sriwijaya, Daconi Khotob reported that the distribution of fertilizer in South Sumatra had been carried out well with the support and cooperation of the South Sumatra Provincial Government.
In addition, the Pusri 3B development project has also been carried out well. Meanwhile, Pusri’s Social and Environmental Responsibility or TJSL activities have been carried out well with a budget realization of around 80 percent. Including the Governor’s direction for the 1500 basic food package operation.
“In addition, appropriate steps are needed regarding the shallowing of the Musi River. River dredging efforts have been carried out, but this takes a lot of time and is always repeated,” he said.
Therefore, Daconi hopes that the South Sumatra Provincial Government will continue to encourage South Sumatra to immediately have a Palembang New Port which of course will support the distribution process of PT Pusri products. (mhn/ril)
