Cik Ujang Monitors Cheap Market Movement

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – In order to ensure the availability of basic necessities ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra H. Cik Ujang went down to directly review the cheap market movement in the run-up to the holy month of Ramadan 1446H which was held in the yard of the South Sumatra Provincial Food Security and Livestock Service Office. Wednesday, (26/02/2025).

This was done because the price of basic necessities ahead of the holy month of Ramadan often increases.

“Usually, before the holy month of Ramadan, the price of all basic necessities increases, usually there is an increase of Rp1000-2000, don’t let it soar too high, for example, the price of rice for those who have rice fields is not heavy, so what about those who don’t have rice fields? Poor thing, even the price in this cheap market movement is cheaper than the market price,” he said while circling the stands in the yard

He ensured that the price of basic necessities and the availability of basic necessities ahead of the holy month of Ramadan in South Sumatra were safe and stable.

Meanwhile, the monitoring of prices in the cheap market is relatively stable, namely shallots IDR 32,000/kg, garlic IDR 36,000/kg, white sugar IDR 17,000/kg, Minyakita IDR 15,500/liter and beef IDR 125,000/kg.

Which cheap market movement was held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 8:00 WIB – 13:00 WIB and involved food kiosks, Kepo shops, Perum Buloq, distributors, farmers’ markets and MSMEs
