During Eid prayers at the Taqwa Grand Mosque, the South Sumatra Regional Secretary urges the public to maintain the spirit of Ramadan

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of South Sumatra Province, Drs. H. Edward Candra, MH performed the Eid al-Fitr Prayer on 1 Shawwal 1447 H / 2026 M with accompanying officials at the Taqwa Grand Mosque in Palembang (Saturday, 21/3/2026).

In his remarks, the Regional Secretary conveyed his Eid al-Fitr greetings to all the people of South Sumatra.

“On behalf of myself and the South Sumatra Provincial Government, I wish you a Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 H / 2026 M. Minal aidin wal faizin, please forgive me physically and mentally,” he said.

He hopes that all the acts of worship and goodness that have been done during the holy month of Ramadan can be a provision in the afterlife. In addition, he also prays that the community will be reunited with Ramadan next year.

He believes that the Eid al-Fitr momentum should be utilized to maintain and strengthen the values ​​of togetherness and social concern that have been built during Ramadan.

“We should continue to maintain and implement the spirit of togetherness, social awareness, and the various good deeds we do during Ramadan in our daily lives,” he added.

The Regional Secretary also emphasized the commitment of the South Sumatra Provincial Government to implementing development programs oriented towards strengthening the values ​​of tolerance and harmony between religious communities, in order to create a safe and conducive atmosphere within the community.

At the end of his speech, the Regional Secretary invited all members of the public to forgive each other for all mistakes and errors.

“Hopefully, we can all become better people in the eyes of Allah SWT,” he said.

Also in attendance were heads of regional government agencies (OPD) in South Sumatra Province, religious leaders, community leaders, and Eid al-Fitr prayer participants. (mhn/ril)
