Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru attended the Initial Coordination Meeting of the 2025 South Sumatra Provincial Agrarian Reform Task Force, held at the South Sumatra National Land Agency (BPN) Hall on Wednesday (August 27, 2025).
This year’s coordination meeting carried the theme “Weaving Accelerated Agrarian Reform and Sustainable Development through Superior Human Resources, Food Security, a Green Economy, and Digital Connectivity Towards Independence in South Sumatra Province.” This theme served as an important affirmation that inclusive development can only be achieved with the support of quality human resources.
In his remarks, Governor Herman Deru emphasized that the key to the success of agrarian reform lies in the quality of human resources.
“If we look at the theme of this coordination meeting, human resources remain the top priority. All of this will not work if human resources are not organized, disciplined, planned, and implemented effectively. I responded positively because this theme aligns with the South Sumatra Provincial Government’s Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD),” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the Head of the South Sumatra National Land Agency (BPN) Regional Office, Asnawati, SH, M.Si., expressed her hope that this coordination meeting would produce regulations that truly benefit the public’s welfare. As a demonstration of this synergy, the BPN presented the Tanjung Carat Port management certificate to the South Sumatra Provincial Government.
The coordination meeting was also attended by the South Sumatra Regional Secretary, H. Edward Candra, heads of regional government agencies (OPD), heads of land affairs from all regencies/cities in South Sumatra, and several relevant officials. (rys/ril)
