Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru officially opened the 2025 Pertamina EP Mini Olympic Games, held at the Dining Hall of Jakabaring Sport City (JSC) on Friday, August 29, 2025. This annual sporting event is an internal event of PT Pertamina EP, aimed at strengthening family ties and fostering a spirit of sportsmanship among employees.
Employees from various regions participated in the Pertamina EP Mini Olympic Games, competing in a number of sports such as soccer, basketball, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, athletics, and other competitions.
In his remarks, South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru emphasized that this sporting event is not merely about finding the best, but also serves as a means to build togetherness, solidarity, and integrity.
The opening of the 2025 Pertamina EP Mini Olympics was marked by the handover of the Pertamina EP Olympic torch to Governor Herman Deru, symbolizing the start of the series of events, which will take place from August 29–31, 2025.
Pertamina EP President Director, Rachmat Hidajat, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the South Sumatra Provincial Government for its support in hosting this year’s event.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Pertamina EP Director Rachmat Hidajat, Pertamina EP Zone 4 General Manager Djujuwanto, heads of regional government agencies (OPD), and other officials. (rys/ril)
