HD Commitment to Fulfilling Residential Needs for Residents of South Sumatra

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The need for habitable housing for the community is one of the priorities of the South Sumatra Provincial Government at this time. A number of parties who collaborate with developers have also taken part in building decent housing for the community, especially those in the category of Low-Income Communities (MBR).

As did the BUMD PDPDE Downstream. In order to contribute to meeting the needs of subsidized decent housing, PDPDE Hilir collaborates with developers to build housing in the area of Jalan KH M Said, Karya Jaya Village, Kertapati Palembang.

“I appreciate the construction of this housing. This is a breakthrough that is very beneficial for the community,” said the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru, during the launching and laying of the first stone for the Taman Karya Indah housing complex, Monday (20/12).

Not only MBR, the subsidized housing is also intended for ASN and employees of regional companies who first want to own housing.

“ASN and Perusda can also take advantage of this. They also get benefits such as MBR. This means that this housing is subsidized which is borne by the government,” he said.

According to information, there are at least 150 house slots that receive subsidies from the government.

“The quality of the building must be maintained so that people don’t get disappointed. Including the drainage must also be a concern because this area is a low-lying area. This is important, don’t wait for the new flood to move to repair it,” explained HD

Meanwhile, the President Director of PDPDE Hilir Fery Irawan said, in building the housing, it was to make it easier for low-income people and ASN to buy houses.

“Moreover, in this area an integrated government office will be built, including the Governor and the Mayor’s Office. Of course this will speed up employee access because it is closer to the office,” he concluded.

Also in attendance were Developer PT Perdana Abadi Barokah Hendra Susanto, Sultan of Palembang RM Fauwaz Diradja, banking leaders in South Sumatra, and Heads of OPD of South Sumatra Province and Palembang City Government. (mhn/ril)
