Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru said that transformation in the digital era would bring change, and the answer was to prepare human resources (HR). This is where the role of all economic actors is needed.
This was stated by HD when attending and at the same time opening with the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs Human Resources Development Agency Teguh Setyabudi at the VIII Provincial Conference of the South Sumatra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) 2022.
HD said that we feel the pandemic has been going on for two years where the economy has been disrupted, especially MSMEs, KADIN remains and must play an active role in economic recovery.
“We as entrepreneurs must be profit-oriented but don’t forget our nature as social beings. For example, providing training to the community, it can be in any form. Especially for start-ups,” said HD.
Regarding cooking oil, KADIN is expected to be able to provide input to the central government so that special regulations are issued for this cooking oil trade system.
“The role of KADIN in Food Security must answer all the challenges with the Sumsel Mandiri Food program, namely changing the mindset of the community where consumptive actors become productive,” he concluded.
Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry M. Arsjad Rasjid P.M said, in this deliberation, the government must provide input to create jobs so that regional economists’ efforts to rise up contribute to the national economy.
Acting Chairman of the South Sumatra Kadin H. Affandi Udji, SE, MM said that the VIII Provincial Conference of the South Sumatra Kadin was aimed at maximizing economic growth and for stakeholders who contributed to the implementation of this Deliberation. (ojn/ril)
