East OKU, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru continues to pay attention to the people of South Sumatra during the COVID-19 pandemic. This time, Herman Deru handed over aid to people affected by Covid-19 as well as oxygen assistance.
At least 50 tons of rice were given to the people of East OKU Regency including oxygen assistance to three regencies in OKU Raya including East OKU, South OKU and OKU districts. With a total of 26 oxygen concentrators, 15 thousand PPE, 11,500 N95 masks, 12,600 surgical masks, 104,100 children’s masks.
Regarding oxygen assistance, Herman Deru asked the East OKU, South OKU and OKU Regency Governments to distribute them equally to hospitals. “This oxygen concentrator is not only distributed to public hospitals but also to private hospitals, don’t even look at ethnic and religious customs, meaning that everything must be shared equally,” said Herman Deru.
After the delivery of the rice and oxygen aid, Governor Herman Deru accompanied by the Regent of East OKU Regency together with the East OKU Forkompimda spread 50 thousand catfish seeds. According to him, stocking fish seeds is a way to protect nature. “This fish stocking event is our way of protecting nature, that nature has an ecosystem,” he concluded. (mhn/ril)
