Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The South Sumatra Provincial Government through the Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) Tirta Sriwijaya Maju (PT. TSM) Perseroda continues to make efforts to provide and distribute clean water and drinking water in the South Sumatra region.
South Sumatra Governor H Herman Deru signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the South Sumatra Provincial Government and the Banyuasin Regency Government regarding cooperation in Providing Drinking Water Supply System Infrastructure (SPAM) PT. TSM Perseroda and PDAM Tirta Bertuah.
The signing was witnessed directly by the Main Director of PT TSM, H Apriansyah and the Main Director of PDAM Tirta Bertuah, Sri Hartini.
The plan is to distribute clean water around the Center Park Residence Banyuasin residential area in early January 2024 to 1,000 customers.
HD said PT TSM was founded by the South Sumatra Provincial Government to serve the community by providing clean water.
“I ask that after signing this agreement, PT TDM and PDAM Tirta Bertuah can implement this work with real care and really good hard work because that is their responsibility to the community,” said HD
HD said that as a district that is only 21 years old, Banyuasin has many areas spread across the borders of Palembang City. So the supply of clean water in Banyuasin is often shared with the city of Palemang.
“So the Provincial Government is here to provide services and clean water and drinking water in Banyuasin, at least making it equal to Palembang City,” he said.
According to him, the availability of clean water in everyday life is very important, so on that occasion Herman Deru reminded the public to save water and use it sparingly.
“Clean water is a very basic need in daily life. Through PT TSM, the South Sumatra Provincial Government will back up the problem of providing clean water in the Regency, but we also have to remember and not waste water in the future,” he said. (mhn/bbs)
