Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru, together with the Chairwoman of South Sumatra Dekranasda, Hj. Feby Herman Deru, accompanied the Chairwoman of the National Handicrafts Council (Dekranas), Selvi Ananda Gibran Rakabuming, in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Benteng Kuto Besak (BKB) courtyard, Palembang, to officially open the 2025 Sriwijaya Expo on Friday (August 1, 2025).
The event was also attended by the South Sumatra Regional Secretary, H. Edward Candra; Chairwoman of BKOW South Sumatra, Hj. Lidyawati Cik Ujang; Chairwoman of the South Sumatra DWP, Desy Kasnayati Edward; along with other accompanying officials.
After the ribbon-cutting, Selvi Ananda Gibran Rakabuming, accompanied by Governor Herman Deru and his wife, directly visited several exhibition stands at the Sriwijaya Expo.
The 2025 Sriwijaya Expo serves as a strategic promotional platform to strengthen the role of MSMEs and showcase the richness of local culture on a national stage.
