PAGARALAM, The Indonesia Post – The commitment of the Governor of South Sumatra to promote sports throughout South Sumatra continues.
Most recently, HD is back to laying the groundwork for the construction of the Sports Building (GOR). This time, the construction of the sports hall which was held on Friday (9/10) was focused on Keban Agung Village, Pagaralam Selatan District, Pagaralam City.
HD said that the City of Pagaralam became the eighth point for the construction of the Sports Hall after previously doing the same thing in seven regions.
“This is indeed our commitment in order to advance South Sumatra. The progress of South Sumatra must be evenly distributed, there should be no regions in South Sumatra that are left behind and escape development,” said HD.
According to him, the government has poured trillions of budget for development in South Sumatra. This was done to improve the welfare of the community.
“Of course the provincial government will continue to develop. I ask all parties to focus on making improvements so that this is in harmony,” he said.
To build a Badminton Sports Hall in Pagaralam City, the South Sumatra Provincial Government disbursed at least IDR 9.9 billion which was divided from PT Bukit Asam’s CSR funds for the South Sumatra Provincial Government.
“Even though it is called a Badminton Sports Center, it is multifunctional. Usually used for basketball or other sports. It can even be used for productive and beneficial activities for the community. We take the budget for the construction of the Sports Hall from CSR funds which we focus on building sports centers in 10 regions in South Sumatra. , “he explained.
Just like in other areas, he hopes that the construction of this sports hall can raise the spirit of the community in the field of sports so that new athletes will be born.
“We don’t just want to be successful in organizing, but also be successful in sports achievements,” he said.
It is known, during his working visit to the City of Pagaralam, HD brought gifts in the form of governor assistance worth IDR 20 billion for road infrastructure development and IDR 26 billion for irrigation, drainage and so on.
Apart from carrying out the construction of a Badminton Sports Hall, HD also directly reviewed the progress of the construction of irrigation channels in Cuhup Jare, Pagaralam Utara District, Pagaralam City.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Pagaralam Alfian Maskoni is optimistic that Pagaralam City will experience rapid progress with the full support of the South Sumatra Provincial Government.
“This proves if we are indeed joining hands in this development. We are sure that Pagaralam City will experience an increase, especially if this is directly supported by the Governor,” he said.
He admitted that development in Pagaralam City would not have gone well without the assistance of the governor. As it is known, the current APBD of Pagaralam City is only Rp. 741 billion.
“With the APBD, of course this development will not be seen. But with the governor’s assistance, of course development will be faster. And this is a very extraordinary step for the governor,” he added. (jekk/ril)
