Herman Deru Proud, Residents of South Sumatra Participate in Handling Covid-19

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The family of the Alm Akidi handed over Rp. 2 trillion aid to the South Sumatra Police.

The Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel), Herman Deru, expressed his appreciation to the family of the Alm Akidi Tio for their generous attitude in helping to deal with Covid-19 in South Sumatra.

According to the number one person in South Sumatra, the efforts made by the family of the Alm Akidi deserve to be an example for the people of South Sumatra to participate in contributing to the handling of Covid-19.

“We are proud, the family of the Alm Akidi Tio has participated in providing care for the handling of Covid-19 in South Sumatra. Moreover, the amount of funds given is very large, namely Rp. 2 trillion. This is not a small number,” he said after attending the process of handing over aid from the family of the Alm Akidi Tio at the South Sumatra Police, Monday (26/7/21).

Herman Deru hopes that what the family of the Alm Akidi Tio has done can motivate the people of South Sumatra to fight the COVID-19 pandemic together. With the hope that social activities will return to normal.

Meanwhile, South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Eko Indra Heri said the assistance would be distributed for the needs of handling Covid-19 in South Sumatra. According to him, the trust is a big responsibility.

Not only that, his party also created a special team from the South Sumatra Police and the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office so that the distribution process remains targeted and in line with the expectations of the family of the Alm Akidi Tio.

Family Doctor of the Alm Akidi Tio, as well as the representative of the family, Prof. Dr. Hardi Darmawan, said that the assistance was a mandate given by the Alm Akidi Tio and was realized by his children.

“He (the deceased) had 7 people. All of his children have been successful. They provide assistance to the South Sumatra Police, because Pak Eko has known the deceased and his family for a long time,” he said.

He hoped that this assistance could be used for the benefit of the people of South Sumatra in handling Covid-19, which is currently still increasing. (ojn/ril)
