PALI, The Indonesia Post – Soon, the Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) District Prosecutor’s Office will determine the suspect in the case of alleged misuse of the budget for the river normalization project in the Abab sub-district from Batung Village to Tanjung Kurung Village, Abab District, whose construction uses the 2018 PALI Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) which based on audit findings by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) in the amount of more than Rp. 5 billion.
This was directly expressed by the Chief of the PALI Prosecutor’s Office, Agung Arifianto, Tuesday (2/3/21). According to him, this case has become a priority for the 100 working days program to become the Chief of the PALI Prosecutor’s Office.
“Determination of the case for the river normalization project in the Abab sub-district is just a matter of time or wait for the exact amount of state losses. There must be more than one suspect candidate, including officials and third parties,” he said.
In addition to announcing potential suspects in the River Normalisation Case in Abab sub-district, Agung also emphasized that the PALI Prosecutor’s Office would resolve the alleged budget abuse case at the PALI Council Secretary (Sekwan) in 2017.
“In that case, we have arrested one suspect and another is still in the people search list (DPO). We will finish this case, including the case in Sekwan in 2020, we will also resolve it,” he said.
Another target of 100 working days as the Chief of the PALI Prosecutor’s Office, Agung will also resolve the case of the collapse of the roof of the Air Itam market which has named the suspect.
“The suspects are all outside PALI. They have been summoned but did not come with the excuse of being sick. But in the near future a second summons will be carried out. The target is that within 100 working days, the case of the collapse of the roof of the Air Itam market can be delegated,” he concluded. (mhn/bbs)
